Creating a new Piece

I am just finishing up a new piece while keeping in mind I have an out of state show to do before the end of the year. Courtesoy of Rawartisit.org.

It has the same theme as an earlier work that has sold I wanted to try a different approach I used cotton canvas instead of acrylic paper and acrylic paint for the underpainting instead of gouache.

I chose to start with the red water soluble oil.

Moved on to yellow and blended to get orange.

Then I stared to bulid on it with white ,and blue.

I used the tip of the brush to achive scratch marks that to me achive a sense of movement. But decided that I liked the final look on it's side. They say that an interesting abstract should look good in all directions Even if one choses to hang it another way it can give the art a differnt perspective.
